Plans are underway to buy/mortgage premises for Leeds Buddhist Vihara to provide a more efficient religious service for the devotees living in the North of England. With the increased number of devotees following the inauguration of Leeds Buddhist Vihara, this has become an absolute necessity.

It is anticipated that the project will have the following stages:

First stage: Raise sufficient funds to buy or mortgage a property.

Interim stage: Move the Vihara to our own property (which could be purchased through a mortgage).

Long term goal:  Buy a commercial building and convert it to a purpose built Vihara. Such a property will have space to carry out religious activities including Dhamma School and adequate parking.

We may be able to achieve our long-term goal without going to an interim stage if sufficient funds are collected.

Your generous contributions are essential to achieve this common goal and your meritorious contributions will make this project a success.

We expect the total cost for the new Vihara Building to be approximately £200,000.

Leeds Buddhist Vihara is already delivering an outstanding service to you and your children. Let us make sure that this service will continue for many new generations to come.
